alsoomse pixie bobs testimonials
Dear Donna and Bryan,
Well, what can I say. Fate definitely brought me to your door, and I'm so pleased we travelled your way that day in the Summer because we have been blessed with the most
wonderful cats someone could ask for. Each one an individual, but all so loving. You are a wealth of knowledge, always willing to chat and answer any questions.
Jamie and I are so pleased with all our fur babies, and the bonus that we have made new friends along the way.
You have worked very hard to get the wonderful cats you have, and I'm so pleased you have trusted us with some of these amazing creatures. Thank you Donna and Bryan, you
really are one in a million.
Love and best wishes always

Natalya and Dmitry, Russia
We first contacted Donna and Bryan in summer of 2010 after our beloved Pixie Bob male Keeper who was only four years old had left us. We were heartbroken, overcome with grief and were suffering a terrible untimely loss. No need to explain why we could not come to terms with Keeper's passing and why he is still so deeply missed. Anyone who is lucky to own a Pixie Bob knows that it is an exceptional cat - intelligent beyond belief and really smart. Pixie Bobs are very curious, playful and sociable, they enjoy spending time with you and understand everything you say. Their appearance is absolutely fabulous and they have a loveable and charming personality. Not everyone can appreciate their unique nature immediately as Pixie Bobs can be pretty shy with strangers. At the same time they are faithful and devoted to their owners and in spite of having such a wild look they are genuine angels with sweet and delicate characters.
After we lost our dear Keeper we realized that only another Pixie Bob could bring smile back to our faces. We did an extensive research and soon understood that it would be next to impossible to find a pure pedigree Pixie Bob in Russia because the breed is still so rare here. Some breeders offered us kittens claiming that they were 100% Pixie Bobs which was not true as we found out later. Some kittens resembled Pixie Bobs and had lynx ear tips and sometimes even bob tails and were overall charming but they were not Pixie Bobs who are so remarkably different from any other domestic breed of cat! We are confident that Pixie Bobs are very special and should not be mixed with any other breed. We were desperate in our attempts to find a kitten that would resemble our Keeper and started surfing in Internet to see whether we could be more lucky with international catteries. And we finally discovered Alsoomse.
First, we were blown away with the photos of the cats that Alsoomse have bred. They had incredible muzzles, fabulous boning and that remarkable bobcatty wild look. We were so thrilled that we immediately stopped our search and contacted Donna. We appreciated from the very beginning that Donna and Bryan are professionals who have breeding experience for years and know everything about this rare breed and are very dedicated to it. Donna and Bryan managed not only to import the best bloodlines from the USA but also to breed a number of homebred champions. And the key is that they truly love their Pixie Bobs and give them only to loving homes. Donna patiently led us through the process and gave us lots of advice and support. We felt that we were in safe hands from the very beginning and are sure that Donna will be happy to help us if any issues come up with our breeding program. She is in every sense a remarkable breeder and an amazing person who tirelessly cares for her Pixie Bobs and made so much to improve and popularize the breed.
Alsoomse impressed us so much that though we were initially looking for a male cat we finally brought to Russia three Pixie Bobs, two boys and a girl! And we cannot thank Donna enough for them because all of them are fabulous and yet very different. Alsoomse Dixie's Smokey is our pride; he is a big boy and looks sooooo bobcatty! He has a very special pedigree and according to Donna he is a number one true to type Pixie Bob male she has ever bred. The other boy named Alsoomse Spotted Wolf, aka King, is also wonderful; he has that Dixie Pixie X Woodghost look, a magnificent wild face and the sweetest character in the world! The girl, Alsoomse Chinook, looks absolutely breathtaking; she is polyfoot, has an incredible muzzle and a chin with a fantastic eye. And like in our human's life she is quicker and smarter than boys )) Each of Smokey, King and Chinook has exceptional personality and became part of our family. And what is really important for us is that each of the kids resembles in this or that way our dear Keeper that makes us even more happy.
Donna, thank you so much for the kids!
With lots of love from Moscow, Russia.
PixieRoo Australia
We looked at many breeds of cats, both at home and overseas, after discovering the Pixiebob there was no turning back.
With a hint of Coleridge’s Kubla, a “miracle of rare device,” “savage place as holy and enchanted”, we settled on the Pixiebob breed. Polydactyl bob tail cats go back
400 years to the time of Coleridge, working on ships of the seven seas, like another ancient mariner and man of letters, sea and raw nature, Earnest Hemmingway, had similar cats which still rule his
estate long after his death.
The encapsulation of this is found in the Pixiebob, the wild looking, intelligent and loving giant gentle cat. As there were no Pixiebobs in our own country (Australia)
the search began to find the most appropriate breeder abroad.
It wasn’t long before we discovered the “Alsoomse web site’. The next step was to make contact with Donna and Bryan and from there on it was all good and the beginning
of a journey. Donna gave us regular reports and photos of her available kittens, it was not long before a girl and boy were destined to be the first Aussie Pixiebobs.
Donna, Bryan and family, as it is a family cattery, have beautiful Pixiebobs and with their enthusiasm and professionalism helped make the whole process
easy.
Donna and Bryan called the kittens Bob and Rimic, soon all the requirements of vaccinations, micro chipping and attaining their ‘pet passports’ was arranged by Donna and
Pet Air. By the end of July the two kittens were set to go half way around the world on a 30 hour trip to Sydney.
The trip was more stressful on Donna, Bryan and the two of us then the kittens. Constant checking the flight position, hours in the air, time to arrival and then
transfer to the quarantine station on the outskirts of Sydney consumed the day. Finally in the late afternoon we had confirmation they were safe and OK.
We visited the kittens in quarantine every Tuesday and Thursday during the 30 days they had to spend at the quarantine station. Finally at the end of August we collected
the kittens and called them Castro and Voodoo (a Hemmingway twist having visited his flat in old Havana) and brought them home. Home took on a sudden change with the two kittens on a non stop
adventure into mischief.
In no time they have won the hearts of many a fine judge, and taking out Judge’s awards as ambassadors to a whole new continent. Long term breeders were so impressed
that new orders have already been placed and another kitten is on its way to our shores.
Donna and Bryan have given us the most wonderful support in this introduction of the Pixiebob breed into Australia; we cannot thank them enough for all their assistance
and ongoing help. We wish to express our gratitude to them for letting us have the pleasure of owning and hopefully breeding Pixiebobs.
Please accept out heartfelt thanks for Voodoo and Castro, we take this opportunity to both thank you and endorse your cattery.

Well my story with Donna and Bryan began when he was intending to buy some giant was searching the internet until I found the site. I made the first contact by email
was promptly answered, like I'm from Brazil and speak Portuguese had a few misunderstandings, but they've always been patient and able to get all the details. Speaking of the quality of their
offspring have not is needed after so many speeches, but my two kittens are really exceptional concern for the young, by the couple is extreme. It was a long wait but worth every second, I recommend
everyone who wants to create this magnificent breed, cattery Alsoomse those of other countries as I can buy with complete confidence in the character and dignity of the owners, may take a while
because they only dispatch , after having assured the health of the kittens, like buying online and always a little difficult with my statement that I hope can help people who want quality above all!
Congratulations and Thank you for caring!

Bow is now a RW Triple Grand Champion
Thank you Donna for let us adopt this sweet, mellow, lovely, and playful boy, Bow is absolutely
adorable! He is so lovely and loves to be with us where ever and what ever we are doing :-) I had never met a Pixie-Bob before I met Bow, and I was not disapointed! Bow was all that I had read they
could be and much more, he is just soo loving and give us a lot of laughter several times a day. You have done a very good job when you raised him and gave him so much love and care.
Bow's temperament is just amazing and outstanding, he is so outgoing and not afraid of anything. We love him so much, he is our new baby and get all the attantion and
love he wants :-) He loves to play fetch and brings his ball back to us very proud, and he loves to play hide and seek. He is also very inquisitive and likes to see what is going on, if he can not
see he just jumps up on our neck to see :-) He is like a spoiled child and complains until he get what he wants. He follows us around the house like a little dog, and curles up beside us or on our
laps when we are wathcing TV, and gives us a lot of love and kisses. Right now he is sleeping on my foot :-)
Thank's again Donna :-)
From Marte Simen, Erik and Wenche in Norway that loves Bow very much!

Sometimes the best things in your life comes without planning and by surprise. That's what happened to me. Never thought I'd own a cat someday and would be totally in
love with her. After all I am and have always been a dedicated dog person. I found cats beautiful & elegant, but cold and distant creatures, full of them self and not really caring anything else
than their own well being.
But then I bumped into Pixie Bobs... Just as this was given to me as a gift from above, I accidently found a photo of a Pixie Bob and was instantly sold to its wild
beauty. I was stunned by those flat top eyes, strong chin and muzzle, long, strong legs and that wild spirit that just oozed out of the photo. I had to found out more. So I spent following days and
weeks surfing around internet and read everything I could find about this breed. It didn't take long for me to realize this was The Cat for me... The looks, the temperament, everything about this cat
was what I wanted. No matter what, I just had to get one.
As I am a dog breeder myself ( I love my Cairn Terriers!) finding a right breeder was very important to me. I wanted to find a nice and friendly person, passionate about
this breed and dedicated to it, whos breeding ethics would meet mine, and who I could trust to help, guide and mentor me throughout the years. And boy was I lucky to found what I was looking for at
Alsoomse.
Yes, Donna & Bryan really took me "under their wings" and with their help and expertise we were soon able to find me a perfect little baby, Alsoomse Pixiebob
Whisperer aka "Baba". I knew from the beginning I'd be interested about the showing and breeding and wanted to get the best possible start for that. As far as I knew my cat would also be the first
Pixie Bob in Finland, so we all wanted to give this breed the best possible starting point here. And Baba is all I could have asked for. She's a stunning little lady with the most beautiful head and
expression, perfect little bobtail, lynx ear tips, good bones and body, and such a beautiful semi-long coat & color. I could spend hours just looking at her and she just takes my breath away.
She's now 6 months old and I can hardly wait her to grow up. But it's not just her looks but her superb temperament that makes her so special. She's is the most lovable high spirited little lady,
very social, curious and friendly. She's a real purring machine and quite a kisser too. She's always following what I do and participates on everything. So a real character and has totally stolen my
heart... She's also very easy to handle and you can just see that someone has taken a really good care of her, loved and treasured her from the very beginning. Donna and Bryan you have done such a
good job with her, no doubt about that! I can't even tell you how grateful I am to you about everything... You welcomed me so warmly to this wonderful breed and to your home too... You have really
been everything what top hobby breeders should be. I am so happy and proud to know you!

To anyone who is thinking about sharing their home with one or two of these stunning cats, our advice is stop thinking about it
and buy now! You will never regret it.
The breed is fantastic (these are cats for people who love dogs, says Andy; Lorna says these are just very special and extraordinary cats) but we were lucky finding such
a great breeder.
500 miles seems a long way to go for kittens but its been worth putting a thousand miles of wear onto the car.
Donna and Bryan didn’t just sell us kittens, Donna introduced us to them by phone and email before we went to collect them. When we collected them she made sure that we
were familiar with their needs and preferences (tickle on tummy or behind the ear for example) and that they were set for what was, for 3 month old kittens, a big journey. After sales have been great
too: Donna is always glad of emails and calls about “The boys” and she is delighted to get photographs.
Donna is no mass production breeder, but one who knows every characteristic of every kitten. It is due to her dedication and sheer love of her cats that each one is so
affectionate, friendly and full of fun.
It will be no surprise if we see her up in Edinburgh to see the cats – and she will always be welcome. Come on Donna and Bryan, The Boys want to show you round “their
estate”!

Blyton and family Spain
Hi Donna, How are you?
Here in Madrid everything is OK about all the family, and I say ALL the family!, because Blyton is another member of this home.
His adaptation period has been very short, about two or three days. Blyton know the house like if he has been living with us all the lifetime.
I came to realize he is perfectly educated: he always utilize his "WC", never scratch anything else except his back scratcher (I don´t know if it is the correct name)...
Really Blyton is a very nice, lovely and cleaver cat. And he is only five months old! Looks like he always know what to do in every situation. I´ve prove he comport oneself more like a dog than a
cat, but at the time he keep all the personality and characteristics of a feline. Immediately you can realize he is a special cat: he is VERY cleaver, quiet, affectionate... in a nutshell he is an
indispensable cat. I think he is the best mascot you can dream. And, at last, I´m sure that much of these attribute are produced by his breed and his firsts experiences with the human world: that is
to say Donna or Alsoomse. Perfect!
Donna, you really know "very much" about how breed a: wonderful and lovely and intelligent and clean and a lot of compliments... little known cats breed.
I´m sure in future "everybody" will need a Pixie Bob from ALSOOMSE in his life.
Thank you very much on behalf of this Spanish family. Kisses
Mojo with his best friend Digby in Chieveley
Dear Donna and Bryan,
I know it is a while since I have seen you but I wanted to let you know how I am getting on here in Chieveley.
I am almost six months old now and growing bigger every day. Mum says that I don’t look like a kitten any more but that doesn’t matter because I have proper bobcat
markings – lots of spots and clever horizontal stripes across my front legs that match when I sit very neatly. My ears are still fluffy though and so is my tummy – that’s the part of me I love having
rubbed the most.
Because you gave me such a good start in life with lots of cuddles and nurturing, and introduced me to ferocious things like the vacuum cleaner and to dogs, I am very
brave and have taken full command of all other four legged beasts in this household, namely Skye, the black Labrador, and Digby, the Golden Retriever. Henry the vacuum cleaner doesn’t phase me
either.
I got the measure of Skye straight away. She didn’t know what to make of me – I think she thought I was a rabbit – and spent most of the time stalking me. I knew Mum and
Dad wouldn’t let her hurt me so I decided to act nonchalant. She didn’t know what to do when I stretched out and yawned casually in front of her – and with my back to her at that. She did chase me
around a bit but I was always one step ahead. But we tolerate each other now and we only get jealous of one another if we can’t sit next to Mum or Dad on the sofa.
Digby, on the other hand, is my best friend. Don’t tell anybody but I think I’m in love. He was a bit scared of me at first but I used my feline charms to make him see
that I was not a threat. We have great games now. I chew his legs and swing from his tail. He nibbles my neck and bats me with his paw. It’s such fun. We sleep together during the day but Mum and Dad
won’t let me sleep with him at night in case I keep him up. I hide behind his bed but they always spot me and I get carried off. I miss Digby when he goes for walks and always rush to meet him when
he comes in.
I have lots of toys, yummy food and cuddles galore. I have two party tricks. One is sitting on my haunches pawing the air. They always give me funny looks when I do
that. The other is making an appalling smell in my litter tray. Mum has bat-like ears and knows exactly when I’m doing my business. For some reason they don’t appreciate my cleverly honed pooing
skills. I quite like the smell myself.
Mum took me outside yesterday. That was really scary. I even forgot I was wearing a harness. I know I said I was brave but I need to take this slowly. I am sure it will
be fun eventually. Digby goes out a lot so I would like to go out too.
Well I need to go and play with that ball of wool that Mum has left on the sofa. She was trying to make pom poms last night and every time she thought I was asleep I
would jump on her and play with the wool. She got a bit annoyed. Can’t think why. I thought it was a great game.
I would send you more pictures of me but the only person who seems to be able to download pictures off the camera is Hannah and she is at school a lot. Promise there
will be some more soon.
Lots of love
Mojo xxx
Luc and Cloud Belgium
Hi Donna,
It's going very well here in Belgium. But first a can't thank you enough for Cloud she is just perfect. I don't now how you do it but her personality is just so sweet
she likes everybody - even the parrot! loud is a big bundle of joy when you touch her she purrs away. But she is also very intelligent and here she is helping with the letter:
She is also a Diva and let everybody run for Madam ; )
She is really fond off my kids. When my daughter is doing homework Cloud sits on her books: first cuddles then homework, bless her. But her best friend
is the Chihuahua. In the evening the have there crazy 5 minutes and run like crazy round the house. It's so funny to watch a huge pixie-bob chasing a mini dog and then a mini dog chasing a huge
pixie-bob.
And we thank this all to you, because you have given her the perfect start in life. That's why her
personality is so sweet. True: all the time and effort you give your kittens they are all perfect and makes them true friends for life.
With Friendly Greetings Amber, Luc, Zoë, Sidney and Cloud, Alsoomse Poloma

Donna
We were all very hurt when our beloved cat Minty died at the grand old age of 22 years! She gave us so much joy and I never thought that we could feel so much love for
another cat until we adopted Sunny and Flo.
I stumbled across the Pixie Bob breed by accident when enquiring about another breed of cat, I had never heard of them before. I did more research and found the Alsoomse
Pixie Bob website where I became fascinated with these wonderful cats.
I travelled from Cheshire to see one of the female kittens called Flo, I had fallen in love with her on the website. Donna made me feel so welcome and introduced me to
Flo, she was an amazing kitten and after visiting a second time with my daughter Chloe, I decided to adopt her. However, during our visit, Chloe and I also became very fond of one of the male
kittens, from another litter, called Sunny. Well to my surprise, when I got home, I decided to adopt him as well.
I must admit that I was nervous about having two kittens, however it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The kittens were from different litters and I was worried that
they may not get on with one another. It was quite the opposite they love each other and don’t like to be apart. It is wonderful to watch the two of them playing, grooming and sleeping
together.
The Pixie Bob is such a beautiful, affectionate cat with an amazing temperament. Sunny and Flo are no exception and have made our house a home again. I couldn’t imagine
life without them because they have given us so much joy.
Sunny loves playing with plastic milk bottle tops and he plays fetch all the time without even being taught (dare I say that some of his behaviours are quite dog-like).
He does have the looks of a wild cat but his nature is quite the opposite, he is so much fun and very loving.
Flo loves playing with Chloe’s hair bands and she enjoys grooming our hair. She has the most beautiful face and I love looking into her eyes because they are so
mischievous and inquisitive. Her temperament is amazing, she is so lady like and gentle. I love the way she places her paw on my face when I cuddle her.
I work from home as a nail technician and in between clients Sunny and Flo really keep me company. My clients think that the kittens are amazing because they are so
intelligent, warm and affectionate (even clients that are non cat lovers have been converted after meeting Sunny and Flo).
Donna, I think that you should be very proud of what you do. I’m convinced that the behaviour, temperament and nature of your kittens/cats are mostly because of how
you’ve nurtured them from the minute they are born. I think that your website is fantastic because it displays all your hard work and your dedication to this beautiful breed. Your Pixie Bobs are not
just a number, they are individuals and you know their personalities inside and out. It also comforts me to know that I can call on your expertise at any time and you’ll be there to support
me.

Peter, Sarah and Rufus
Rufus is absolutely fantastic! I’m sure everyone thinks they have the best, most beautiful pixie bob but Rufus really is turning into a stunning cat, both in
personality and in looks. Everyone agrees who meets him, he is particularly clever cat. You can’t fool him with any old game – it has to be novel and interesting! He goes crazy for anything shiny,
light-weight and spherical – he still loves the shiny ball you gave us though I confess it has very little shine left. Another striking thing about him is how friendly he is to all he meets. Most
cats play strange with new humans and aren’t keen to be touched in certain places – they might be a bit head shy or not be too keen to have a paw touched. But Rufus welcomes any kind of attention and
particularly likes his paws stroked! Sappy, I know, but I love to pick Rufus up and hold in my arms like a baby – I’ve never known a cat that would relax like that but Rufus just goes limp and closes
his eyes. He also sleeps on his back with his back legs spread eagle and his front legs over his face – absolutely gorgeous! On cold nights he likes to come under the covers and snuggle up, purring
madly all the time.
I’m not sure if Rufus thinks he is a human or that we are cats! Every evening he makes his best attempt to comb and clean my hair and face which is so very cute. And if
he feels I’m not paying quite enough attention to him he will sit on my chest, look me in the eye, and put a paw on my cheek – so very gently. He is a very studious cat as well, who likes to sit on
my lap as I am typing away or surfing the web. Sometimes he feels he can’t see well enough so he very gently removes my glasses though he hasn’t worked out yet how to put them on.
Peter is still working on the extension and Rufus is a very able assistant. He doesn’t do much to help but he will sit by Peter for hours watching him working while
keeping out of the way. His new favourite place to play is in the bath tub that arrived last week! Without fail, Rufus’s favourite pastime is his ‘walks’ in the back garden. He has no great interest
in running around or playing fetch as he would indoors. He just wants to watch the many birds that frequent our back yard. Watching from the window is one thing but actually being outside is so much
better. He tries to be very patient when we are putting on his harness – he is getting better – but the minute he has it on he is very well behaved!
Rufus is such a great addition to our family! Thank you Donna, for raising such a loving and interactive cat. When I first contacted you I told you I wanted a cat that
actually felt some attachment to his human carer’s, not an animal that was only interested in you if you were about to feed it! I feel we have definitely got that with Rufus.
Many, many thanks, Peter, Sarah and Rufus
Zulay and Peter Holland
Our Chops and Penny’s Spirit are more then fantastic. I am lucky to have them, as they are a great addition to my cattery. Donna, my cats have a great temperament,
but I don’t know what you do to them but they are sweeter then honey...Never in my life of being with so many animals have I had cats with such personalities. They are just amazing. All my cats are
loving but yours are 10 times more loving and sweet. They love people, us and strangers.... They fear no one and welcome everyone.
It’s my dream that when they have their litters that they pass this amazing temperaments to their babies. This does not cease to amaze us. Chops loves my husband with a
passion. He is always on top of him, asking for his attention and love, Peter loves him so so so much. Chops will stand on Peter’s thighs with his front paws, and with one of his paws he will gently
touch Peter’s face telling him I love you, and then he will pass his head on Peter’s face very softly... You should see them together..You will just melt.
Chops is huge now, he is just perfect. He is very Rufus and fully spotted. I swear sometimes I think his face looks like a small lion, he is absolutely so wild looking,
just beautiful. I wish I could take him into the showrings, I’m sure he could easily be a Supreme..... He is very tall and has a perfect tail length, eye shape, ear set, muzzle, colour, spots, thick
fur specially on his chest and he is so tall, but his temperament is to die for.
They are both very playful and love playing in the garden, but not for too long because he will miss Peter right away...Our Penny is small with the exact same
temperament, she has a wonderful face, colour and tail length, but she won’t take anything from the other cats. She is small with an attitude. She will not be bullied by my other cats..
:-)
Donna, Thank you so much for my babies. You are a wonderful loving small woman with a big heart, full of knowledge, love, sugar and spice and every thing
nice.
You have a great cattery with wonderful cats and you know so so much about this breed. I think you are an amazing person with so much love for your babies.
To me you are not only my friend but my mentor as well and I love you so much. You are the kind of person who will go the extra miles to help someone.
Thanks Donna for our babies.

After several weeks of reading about Pixie Bobs, we decided that this was the breed for us. We have a lively household with two sons aged ten and nine and Fudge, a
four year old Border Collie so we were keen to have a kitten that would fit in well and be able to stand up for itself.
After reading about Donna and Bryan's experience and approach to breeding and then looking at photographs of their wonderful cats and kittens, we got in touch and knew
straight away that we had made the right decision. Donna and Bryan were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. Donna took time to tell us about each kitten available and suggested one young male
kitten that she felt would fit in with our family. We collected Neo when he was 14 weeks old and he has proved to be the most wonderful addition to our family, we can't imagine being without
him.
Thanks to the fantastic start in life that he got from Donna and Bryan, Neo has fitted in beautifully with our family. He plays brilliantly with the boys and the dog, he
loves cuddles and he plays fetch really well already! He has a huge personality and is incredibly easy to train. We've given him a little wicker basket where he keeps things that he finds and wants
to keep and he makes us laugh and amazes our friends with his collection of bows from presents, sweet wrappers etc. He loves anything that shines, just like a magpie and will often grab something
from his basket and drop it in front of somebody and demand they play fetch with him! He talks to us all the time and is so expressive with his little chirps. When he wants to climb into my arms for
a sleep be will literally sit on my laptop or butt my phone out of my hand to get my attention and he's so gorgeous I can't say no!
We had a couple of days where Neo was off colour and Donna was wonderful, offering valuable help and support and calling and emailing to make sure that Neo was getting
better. We are constantly amazed by how loving, intelligent and full of character Neo is and we feel very lucky to have been able to take a kitten from Donna and Bryan!
Carole and family
About a year ago we decided we would like to get a cat. Both of us have had cats before but we fancied having something different. So we began looking on the internet
and came across the Pixie Bob. We instantly fell in love with their wonderful looks. Then we found Donna’s website and I rang her up to find out more. Her enthusiasm was infectious, we especially
liked the idea that these cats were “dog like”. So I sent off my deposit.
We waited a long time for our little boy to be born but he was well worth the wait! Donna sent us photos of him as he was growing up and we got all excited every time we
received them!
On the day we collected him we drove all the way from the Midlands and finally got to meet him. He looked even more adorable than his photo. He was everything Donna said
he would be. He is absolutely gorgeous and we love him to bits!
He is VERY loving and adores his cuddles and took less than a week to settle in with us. Donna said that he would bond with his human family and that is certainly very
true! He likes to know where we are and “asks” for cuddles, he has even started giving us high fives, as Donna taught him to! He plays nicely with my 12 year old son. My partner has had lots of cats
before but says our Jazz is the most affectionate he has ever seen. Here is a photo of him that says it all:
The thing I was most worried about was leaving him alone when we were at work. Donna said to leave him
plenty of toys and he would be ok. So we do and we leave the radio on and he is perfectly fine.
He has fantastic markings with the wild look about him. Everyone says how beautiful he is. I would recommend a pixie bob kitten to anyone who wants a unique addition to
their family!

Hey Donna,
Just though I'd let you know how Mo's getting on. We absolutely love him, he's such a character. He's already the boss of the house, and bearing in mind we have two dogs
the size of small horses, that's quite an achievement! His favourite pastime at the moment is catching flies. He tracks them down and wags his behind and then jumps about a meter in the air and
catches them, it's unbelievable!
He's a great companion, he follows us round the house, he loves company. He likes
to sit on our heads and groom us, he gets really stuck in it's so funny! He loves to play. His favourite toy is a little fish and every time you throw it he fetches it back to you to throw
again.
He's laying on my lap at the moment purring away while I tickle his neck. He really is the most adorable cat.

Susan, Ellie and Sasha
Ellie and Sasha are the first cats that I have ever owned; they have been with me now for just over 2 weeks and they have been an absolute delight. They really are
utterly adorable. As I write this now both of them are lying at my feet while I work on the computer (although am sure that they will soon be off on a mad dash around the house playing hide and seek
together). It was, without doubt, the best decision I ever made to bring two cats home rather than one. They really are best of friends and regularly cuddle up on their cat tree together. Every
evening when I come home from work they are curled up together on the settee. Sasha loves to be carried in my arms around the house whilst Ellie adores being able to cuddle up on my lap on an evening
as she falls asleep. Donna has been fantastic; she was able to describe the personalities of my two kittens so well and sent me lots of photos of the girls before they finally came home to live with
me. She really cares about her kittens and is determined that they go to the right homes.
Thank you Donna!
With lots of love from Ellie, Sasha and Susan.

Hi Auntie Donna,
It's me - Blue Blanket, or Blue for short as mum didn't think I looked like a Blanket. I'm not really Blue either if you ask me, but that's a woman for you. Thanks for
having me but I quite like it here now. Think it's going to be OK as things are pretty good. I get food and cuddles on demand, sleep wherever I like and mum and dad are always around to keep me
amused. I've listed my likes and dislikes...
I like...
-
Big dinners at any time of the day. Mum says I'll be a fat git if I eat so much when I'm a big boy. What's a fat git?
-
Going in the garden, especially when it's windy as it sends me a little bit mental.
-
Chasing leaves, digging holes and generally running round the garden like a loony and keeping mum and dad on their toes. Their arses make buttons when I go into one out there. Ha ha!!!
-
Waking them up suddenly at 2.30 by jumping on feet, hands or faces then laying down and purring loudly. I can go straight back to sleep.
-
Hiding stuff under the heavy sofa. She only knows about the four socks....
-
Playing 'fetch' with little balls of screwed up paper. Could do it for hours.
-
Generally making the house look like a bomb site by spreading shredded paper from my cardboard box all over it.
-
Watching telly and the computer, although mum won't let me work the mouse yet.
-
Spending half an hour in the garden then going indoors for a big poo.
-
Having a poo just as mum and dad are eating their breakfast or dinner.
I don't like...
-
Those little, hard brown things that are supposed to make me grow up big and strong. I eat them only in an emergency.
-
Having to come in from the garden. I protest loudly but no-one listens.
-
The bugs, grass, sticks, dirt and leaves that make me cough and gag, but I still chew them anyway.
-
Anyone but mum or dad, although I'm not quite so wary of nanny now.
-
That bloody harness, and I flatly refuse to accept the lead since I got trussed up like chicken after I spooked and did a mad dash round the garden.
-
The hoover.
-
Going in that carrier. Not now, not ever...
I think that's about it for now auntie Donna. Hope you like the pictures and mum says she'll send some
more as I get bigger. Bye for now.
Love from Blue Blanket Bower. xxxx
P.S. See what a clever boy he is! Must be good breeding! I'd just like to add how pleased we are with our new addition to the household - your obvious passion for the
breed and deep love of your cats was enough to make me realise we had gone to the right person. Thank you for giving Blue the best start in life Donna, and for all the advice and information you have
given to help us along the (hopefully) long and happy road of the Pixiebob.

Dear Donna,
Koaty has settled in marvellously to her new home and family and is loving being the centre of attention; she’s a gorgeous kitten with all the best kitten traits: loves
exploring and running around her new house, getting into all kinds of mischief (and then looking at you like butter wouldn’t melt), and then settling down for a cuddle as she’s worn herself out.
She’s getting along with her 2 older sisters and they’ll no doubt soon be the best of friends.
After ten years of breeding Ragdolls (Simon), I took four years out but wanted to get back into breeding again. I wanted to breed a completely different look to the
Raggies and after discovering Pixiebobs decided to view some in person, and immediately feel in love with the breed. One particular kitten stood out though (guess who) on the Alsoomse website and
following a long Sunday afternoon conversation with Donna where we both discussed our passion for cats and for breeding, I knew that I wanted to come and visit Koaty. As soon as we saw Koaty at
Donna’s running around with her brothers and sisters and letting them know who’s boss, we knew that Koaty would be coming home with us.
We were a bit concerned that she’d be upset in the carrier on the way home but there wasn’t a peep out of her; in fact she just stretched out and went to sleep until she
arrived in London, as if she’d travelled a hundred times before. Introduction to our 2 elderly Battersea girls (sisters) was normal: some hissing and spitting from them when they saw Koaty, but
Sophie and Susie are now starting to see Koaty as their little sister, who sometimes wakes them up with her running around, before they roll over and go back to sleep.
Donna we would like to thank you for breeding such a fantastic little girl with a wonderful temperament. We can see how much love and care has gone into her before
coming to live with us, and are thrilled ourselves to have her join us and her new sisters and be giving her a loving home also.
All the best,
Simon and David

I first came across the Pixie Bob breed about 4 years ago, I was intrigued and made a few enquiries,
but was put off by an unenthusiastic breeder and stories of tail docking. Then a few months ago my interest was rekindled by a magazine article and I decided to look into them again.
After phoning around I discovered Alsoomse and Donna. She quickly laid to rest my fears, and gave me loads of information about the breed. Her enthusiasm piqued my
interest, and having looked at her website, I fell in love with a photo of Primo. I then discovered he was a breeding standard Pixie Bob, I didn't care I had to have him! I have always had cats of
one sort or another and had dabbled with the idea of breeding; it just felt as though it was fated. So on Donna’s invitation I went to visit him and was totally mesmerized by him, it was as though he
knew me already, and he just laid in my arms and purred! I was hooked!
On Donna’s recommendation I also purchased 2 females to go with him, Catch and Bobbie Soxs, it's been the best thing I've ever done. The Pixies have totally taken over,
in the best possible way! Our 4 kids absolutely adore them, and the cats seem to have infinite patience with them. The Pixie Bob is known for its amazing temperament, but I'm convinced that (with
ours anyway) that a big part of that is down to the way Donna is with her cats. She knows and loves every kitten, and can tell you all their personalities and quirks!
We have also recently acquired another Pixie Bob female from Donna, Luna who is absolutely incredible. A total credit once again, to Donnas care and
devotion.
Donna has been absolutely amazing, she has been so generous with her time giving me lots of help and advice, I could never thank her enough! Not only that but as the
time has past, I have made a true friend, a rare thing these days! I cannot recommend Donna highly enough, her cats are absolutely outstanding in every way, a result I'm sure of her tireless devotion
to the improvement of the breed. Donna truly loves the Pixie Bobs, she is an honest, straight forward person with a passion, and that has fuelled her into becoming, in my opinion the best breeder
around.

Hi Donna,
Thank you very much for the advice you gave me yesterday. This morning Coffee took the likes of one of the new tray and did her thing in there. I was so relieved. She
knows what she has been doing because as soon as she finished she came to me for a well deserved cuddle. She still can't cover it up, but Coco does it for her. It's a total team effort.
I have to say that you have been a star all the way and I have to thank you very much for the whole experience of becoming owner of two much loved pixie
bobs.
Initially it was very hard convincing Simon that owning a kitten would not have benn too much trouble, and certainly I would have done all the hard work and all it was
for him was the fun and the playing around (I have kept to this promise so far). I had cats all my life until I moved out of my family home. Since we bought a place with a garden, I could not rest
until we had a cat too. Simon never had any pets and just did not see the point. I had to find a cat that was so irresistible that he had to say yes. After weeks on the internet, I came across the
pixie bobs and your website. The photos of Solo made the trick for Simon and after I show them to him, his answer was, ok How much?
Since then it has been the longest weeks of my life....until the babies came home. On advice from Donna, we decided to go for two kittens and I think it has been a
really wise choice. As we are both full time workers, a kitten would have been on its own most of the day, left to eat and sleep until we were home in the evening. Coco and Coffee are so happy
together and they cuddle each other a lot of the times. Sometimes they purr when they are falling asleep together. Coco is very protective of Coffee and Coffee does not do anything until it has been
tried and tested by her sister first. They have such distinct personalities, I did not expect. When I cuddle Coffee, Coco is very jealous. She goes in a different room to try to attract the attention
and if you don't follow her she comes back meowing for some cuddles. They share their toys fairly and they love to play together with the ball, until it gets stuck somewhere and they come to mummy
for help. I am now always telling anyone thinking of getting a kitten, to try to get two if they have the opportunity, as you just can't describe how happy they are together and they will be just a
pleasure to see them growing older together.
I am so happy to have them around they are just so sweet. I would not have expected them to create such a strong bond with the new family after only a few days. Every
morning Coco comes in the bed and sits next to me waiting for me to wake up. If I don't, she starts licking my fingers and failing that she touches my face with her little paws. Once I wake up she is
a non-stop purring machine. This is definitely thanks to how well socialised they are and to how much love they have been given by you and Bryan in their first weeks of their lives.
Again thank you very much for all you have done for us and wouldn't have any problems in recommending Alsoomse pixie bobs over and over again.
Lots of Love
Chiara, Simon, Coco and Coffee
